Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou in Beaumont Puy De Domme, France, was born on the 9th August, 1976. Audrey Tautou is an eldest child in a family of four. Her parents, a dentist and teacher recognized and encouraged her passion for acting and theatre at an early age, which was more important than a desire to become a primatologist thanks to her fascination with monkeys. At the age of a young lady the rise to fame was quick and accompanied by early success. Following her studies in 1998 she participated in an French program for scouting talent on TV called Jeunes Premiers that was supported by Canal+ and won Best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors before beginning her acting career in earnest. Tautou was raised in an Catholic family and attended religious services, despite having attended school at school at the Institut Catholique de Paris. She pursued a career in modeling along with her acting career. She is the face of L'Oreal Mont Blanc and Chanel often referred to as The Chanel Muse. A keen photographer, she has recently exhibited in The Arles International Festival titled Superficial. Her photos are mostly about famous people and celebrities. Also, they include self-portraits as well. Audrey Tautou rose to fame and stardom with her major performance in Le Fabuleux d'Amelie Poulain. Amelie won international acclai box office success and was recognized at award galas across the world. Amelie is the most successful French-language film in the US. The popularity of the film has led to Tautou being cast in a range of roles, from British dramas such as Dirty Pretty Things by Stephen Knight and Jean Pierre Jeunet to Hollywood's The Da Vinci Code with Tom Hanks.
